Hive & Byre was born from a love of creating delicious food using simple home-grown and Scottish ingredients. Our founder Katie started experimenting making ice cream using excess milk from her goats, local free-range eggs and honey. After many test batches experimenting with ingredients and flavours we have honed and perfected recipes to offer a range of both dairy and dairy-free ice creams.
We love using local produce. Our dairy ice cream base is made using Organic Scottish cow's milk, fresh free-range eggs from our hens and raw honey from our bees when available. When we don't have enough honey ourselves we source from other Scottish and sustainable producers.
Our dairy-free ice cream is created using a creamy oat milk base and rivals any dairy version.
Home-grown blackcurrants, raspberries and apples feature in our seasonal flavours. We are always on the lookout for fresh local produce.
All our ice cream is made fresh and is available in 120ml tubs, 460ml tubs or Napoli pans for scooping. We can also make individually wrapped ice cream sandwiches.
